post-match interviews

Having ‘hyped up’ the fixture, it was time to cover the event.

I updated scorelines via Instagram Stories at the event to maintain engagement, while also taking photos and videos pitch-side.

The following day, “Post-match with UOE sport” was posted. This involved a snappy montage followed by a post-match interview.

humorous content

In celebration of Valentine’s Day, I asked the University of Edinburgh Sport’s gym staff “what gets their hearts racing?”.

The answers might not be (or might be) what you expect…

hype videos

To attract viewers to livestreams and attendance to fixtures, I delivered a brand-new content strategy for University of Edinburgh Sport.

I captured and edited footage of the team participating in the week’s ‘focus fixture’.

The hype montage followed by information on how to view the game became the format for each week.

promo

For a collaboration between University of Edinburgh Sport and Edinburgh University Students’ Association, I made the 40th annual dance promotional video to push for ticket sales on socials.

I directed five dance crews to showcase what the show would have in store.

The Celebration of Sport event held by University of Edinburgh Sport featured talks and panels which showcased sporting stories from 2024. The panel included four Olympic and Paralympic athletes who participated in Paris 2024. Shot on iphone and gimble.

archie goodburn

I conducted an interview with British champion and Commonwealth swimmer Archie Goodburn on behalf of University of Edinburgh Sport.

The 20-minute interview delved into Archie’s inspiring journey, highlighting how he continues to excel in the pool despite facing brain cancer diagnoses. Archie’s story has since been featured on BBC Sport, their interview with him marking a year since he was diagnosed.

My brief was to chat to Archie about a university medal he had been awarded recognising his achievements and character. In order to move beyond the surface level story of his academic and swimming achievements, it was crucial to build the conversation so that Archie could freely talk about his disease and the impact it has had on him and those around him.

Editing the interview, I packaged it for YouTube and isolated a clip to package for Instagram Reels for the marketing of the piece. You can watch the full interview by clicking the horizontal still.
