podcasts

Not another podcaster, I hear you say… Well, yes — frankly. Podcasts are too important in the digital media space to ignore, and that’s why we’re here. Hopefully, you’ll be able to see (and hear) that I don’t settle for simply hitting “record.”

multi story edinburgh

Multi Story Edinburgh is a podcast from the University of Edinburgh’s Development and Alumni department. I spent 3 months producing and hosting its sixth season.

The podcast invites recent graduates to share snapshots of their university experience, future plans, and how they are feeling about it all. Here, listen to the trailer I made for it on the right-hand side of your page.

Although the project had its editorial brief, it also left room for fresh creative direction.

I wanted to keep the candid, conversational nature of previous seasons but at the same time revamp the listening experience to cater for the podcast’s target audience — recent graduates.

New music, shorter episodes, a representative range of guests, more engaging podcast artwork were all elements that I implemented to develop the project.

I used Rodecaster Pro production console to record the in-person episodes and Squadcast virtual studio software for my online chats with guests. For post-production, I used Adobe Audition.
